Ensuring Compatibility of Agricultural Electronics - The Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF) ISOBUS Conformance Test

Over the past decade, many manufacturers of tractors, implements and electronic components plus the suppliers of farm management information systems have guided and adopted the ISOBUS standard to provide external connectivity and systems integration functionality for their products. To date, the ISOBUS standard defines the electrical and electronics infrastructure for connecting electronic controls on implements and tractors and it defines the interface to integrate the manual operation of implements into common, tractor mounted board computers and operator controls. It has also extended into definition of interfaces for field operations monitoring, data logging, position based process control, the execution of programmed or recorded operation sequences and it provides a base for common electronic systems diagnostics.
