In this article, a theoretical study on the heat and mass transfer analysis of Al_2O_3-water nanofluid is made in a highly porous vertical channel with convective boundary conditions and in presence of a uniform applied magnetic field of small magnetic Reynolds number. A semi-analytical-numerical technique in terms of Differential Transform Method (DTM) is applied to solve the governed similarity set of equations with Neumann boundary conditions. It is interesting to observe that, the axial flow rate decreases in presence of magnetic field and thermal and solutal Biot numbers. It is also interesting to observe that the heat transfer rate enhances due to positive increase in thermal and solutal Biot numbers.
