摘要

ATR-FTIR spectra of crystalline uracil and its thin film on silanised glass surface were recorded in mid infrared region and compared. The infrared studies indicate the film formation of uracil onto silanised glass surface through a weak interaction between uracil and the silanised glass surface. The shifts observed in spectrum of film of uracil indicates that the interaction is between C_2=O_7 and protonated amino group of silanised glass substrate.
