Growth and Characterization of Mixed Crystals of N, N-Dimethylamino-N'-Methylstilbazolium p-Toluenesulphonate and p-Napthalenesulfonate

We have investigated the growth of mixed crystal of N, N-dimethylamino-N'-methylstilbazolium p-toluenesulphonate (DAST) and N, N-dimethylamino-N'-methylstilbazolium p-napthalenesulfonate (DSNS) using slow solvent evaporation method. The grown crystal was characterized by CHN analysis. The Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectral analysis have been carried out to identify the vibrational modes of the different functional groups present in the crystal.
