Electrical, Magnetic and Thermal Transport Behavior of Divalent/Tetravalent Doped LaMnO_(3) Manganites

We report the investigations of electrical magnetic and thermal properties of La_(0.7-x)Ce_(x)Ca_(0.3)MnO_(3) (0.0 <= x <= 0.3) manganites. The metal-semiconducting transitions (T_(MS)) are observed for all doped manganites at approx255 K, approx235 K approx220 K and approx154 K. The magnetic susceptibility measurement confirms that the sample undergoes a transition from paramagnetic to ferromagnetic phase at a particular temperature (T_(C)). It is noticed that the T_(C) is nearly equal to the T_(MS). Specific heat measurements depict a pronounced anomaly near the T_(C), indicating the magnetic ordering and magnetic inhomogeneity in the samples.
