Spectral BRDF of color shifting paints and e-papers using multispectral Fourier optics instrument

We use a Fourier optics multispectral instrument to measure spectral BRDF at all incidence and azimuth angles on various surfaces. Full spectral reflection properties of any surface can be measured with high incidence and spectral resolution in reasonable time. Application to color shifting paints and e-papers is presented. Spectral modulation of the diffused light on color shifting paints is clearly put in evidence. Main differences in the optical behavior of e-papers and real paper are also presented.
