摘要

The addition of vitamin E to 7-DHC coating before its UV activation, together with the control of temperature and time of incubation of the coating improves the synthesis of D3. These results in a potent inhibition of osteoclastogenesis, suggesting a reduction on bone resorption activity. All in all, 7-DHC:VitE coated implants promotes osteoblast differentiation whilst inhibits osteoclast formation, suggesting a positive bone remodeling balance. This bioactive coating is here proposed as a new approach for implant therapies in patients with compromised bone health.
