摘要

A novel cycle concept for adsorption refrigeration and heat pumping applications is presented. It employs a stratified storage tank for achieving a high fraction of internal heat recovery. The aim of this cycle is to strongly improve the Coefficient of Performance (COP) over a single effect adsorption or absorption, while maintaining the simplicity of a one-stage adsorption system. Additionally, the system efficiency is very stable regarding external temperatures, for example increased heat rejection temperatures. For the adsorption pair zeolite/water, relatively high driving temperatures up until 220°C are considered in this paper that necessitate the usage of thermal oil instead of water. Besides the evaluation of the sensitivity of the model regarding system parameters, representative part load states regarding the cooling of a building are derived for different climates and the COPs under the corresponding conditions are determined.
