Saemangeum is a tidal fl at in the estuaries of Mangyeong and Dongjin rivers, located in southwestern coastal region of Korean Peninsula. The main purpose of Saemangeum reclamation project is to develop an economic center of North East Asia and thus this watershed is undergoing a lot of changes making it one of Korea’s top priorities for Non-Point Source (NPS) pollution controls resulting from agricultural lands. This study aims at analysis of temporal and spatial variations of NPS pollution of Saemangeum watershed through multivariate analysis including cluster analysis (CA), discriminant analysis (DA) and factor analysis/principal component analysis (FA/PCA). The dataset obtained between 2006 and 2013 from Water Information System (WIS) and Integrated Environment Information (IEI) websites consisted of 6 variables namely; DO, BOD, COD, SS, TN and TP surveyed on monthly/8-day basis at 14 monitoring sites. CA grouped the 12 months into 4 seasons: winter, spring, summer and autumn and divided the watershed into 2 groups based on the estuaries in Saemangeum watershed.
