摘要

Since end 2012, a new regulation in Poland imposes apre-treatment of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) through a dedicated Mechanical and Biological Treatment (MBT) plant before recovery or usual removal processes. Within this new national regulatory context, a SITA Polska team performed MBT tests by the end of 2012 with the assistance of CIRSEE to assess the global performances of different strategies and verify regulation applicability. Among the processes tested and performance indicators used, aerobic composting and bio-drying of a 0-80 mm fraction of MSW were assessed at industrial and lab scales with particular attention to stability achievement through AT4 measurements on several materials sampled each week during tests duration.
