LEACHATE IRRIGATION OF ENERGY CROPS

Research activities relating to different sustainable treatment methods are still keeping the interest of scientists and engineers, especially in the waste management field. Leachate irrigation to land can provide an opportunity for closing the nutrient cycling loop and at the same time producing effluent of a suitable quality for discharge. Phytoremediation has been identified as an effective and available technological solution for the extraction or removal of pollutants from contaminated soil and water.
