LANDFILL AND INCINERATION - UNBEKNOWN PROBLEM IN JAPAN

摘要

Japan is considered a leading country of waste management technology. iMore than 1200 MSW incinerators are operating with advanced air pollution control; sophisticated gasification melting facilities are very popular and they are attracting attention from European countries. Semi-aerobic landfill, which was originally proposed in Japan, became standard technology to promote stabilization and shorten aftercare period of landfill operation, and this technology is exporting to other Asian countries.
