ANAEROBIC BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT OF ORGANIC FRACTION FROM MSW AND INDUSTRIAL WASTE AT BENESOV (CZ): EXPERIENCES, RESULTS AND INTERPRETATION OF TWO YEARS OPERATION

The Austrian company Innovation und Technik GmbH, together with Benesov Municipality, developed a PPP Model which resulted in the implementation of a thermopile anaerobic digestion process of organic waste under semi-dry conditions. This plant was brought into operation in February 2009, with the filling of the first digester and the consequent process ramp-up.
