Sustainable development has become an environmental goal, and for each company, should be part of their strategy and objectives. Inside this context the relationships between organizations, technology, and society shows that managers should take its inclusion into account. Companies increase their competitiveness through cost reduction, quality improvement, and implementation of new processes/products if an environmental management policy is adopted.
