摘要

Instant measurement of methane emissions from landfill surface technology called Flux-Fox developed by team of ARTEZIS, s.r.o., enables to measure quickly a large number of emission points on a landfill surface. This enables to overcome the main disadvantage of flux-box technique, which is low number of samples taken at a time. In the same time, Flux-Fox is much less prone to weather conditions, compared to techniques using indirect measurement of methane emissions by ambient methane concentration measurement above the landfill surface. The properties of Flux-Fox have been explored in a number of experiments and routine field measurements used both for regulatory purposes reporting and also for a landfill gas collection system design purposes. Some examples are provided in this paper.
