Six vertical electrical sounding points (VES) weremeasured northern western desert. The analysis of the givenwell log data was used to estimate the groundwater level inthe study area. The study area covers about 100 feddans,located at 80 km northwest Giza city. The Digital ElevationModel (DEM) of the investigated area was extracted fromthe Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) satelliteimage. Thieves were interpreted with assessment of DigitalElevation Model (DEM) to determine the subsurface layersand the true resistivity, lithology and thickness variations ofsuch layers. The obtained result is the subdivision of theshallow section into three units of sediments arranged as: topsurface layer "A" of dry sand and gravels with mud overlaps;;the second layer "B" of sand and mud layer. This layercomposed of saturated sand which was considered as thewater-bearing zone of the investigated interval, its thicknessranges between 80m and more than basement rocks. Thedepth to the basement surface has an average value of 104.7m at the eastern side and 114.1m at the western side of thestudy area.
