摘要

The RESYNTEX project aims at designing,developing and demonstrating a new industrial symbiosisbetween textile waste and the chemical industry. The neworiginal symbiosis is based on the chemical/enzymatictransformation of textile waste in a form that facilitates theeasy take up as feedstock by the chemical industry in orderto produce high added value chemicals. The parallelproduction of various high added value products ensurescompetitive production costs for the chemical market. As aresult, economic advantages can be provided besidesprevention of industrial environmental problems. Theproject will consider and demonstrate the whole valuechain starting from the citizen behaviour change and thetextile collection of unwearable textiles, improving andautomatizing the industrial sorting, demonstrating theproduction of the transformed textile components and thesymbiosis with the obtained chemical products and finallyanalysing the best economic models and policy actions fora successful introduction in EU markets
