In general, industrial effluents require treatment systems designed for maximum operational flexibility, making the sequencing batch reactor (SBR) technology ideal for remediating such wastes. For this reason, an SBR system was used to treat four wastewaters that are a significant concern within Thailand;;namely, a landfill leachate, a textile wastewater, a seafood waste and the effluent from the slaughterhouse industry.
