With the introduction of the new self-propelled machines from the Krone Company it was necessary to develop new drive systems. The increased requirements of torque with the transport speed of 40 km/h, especially for the forage harvester, need higher oil flow. This problem can be solved with a dual pump system. Dual pump systems together with shifting wheel motors offer a big variety of different drive ranges, which give the possibility to build a similar drive system for different machines. Special features for the new machines are automotive driving and decreased engine speed in transport ranges.
