This paper will report “Color Patch Advertisement” using color patches printed not on margin or blank but on page inside. The size of a patch is different from conventional minute patches on newspaper, and it enough large to measure its color using a normal commercial colorimeter. So, we can grasp the color characteristics of color pages in the public performance print, and quality evaluation of the real daily paper was realized. The "Color Patch advertisement" is a really unprecedented action for color quality control in the Japanese newspaper industry. Availability of the color patches printed on newspaper was confirmed by subjective evaluation of color pages quality-controlled using "Color Patch Advertisement".
