Probe into the Prospect for application of Ultracapacitor Technology in the New Energy Automotive Industry

Due to its prevailing advantages of high specific power, fast charge speed, long cycle life and high reliability, the super capacitor has become one of most important parts in the power system of the new energy automotives industry. Based on the virtues mentioned above, the super capacitor technology has realized the big scaled commercial application in pure electric city buses for a long-term with the feature of high power, fast charge speed, long service life, high reliability and small voltage and temperature discrepancies among cells. Its future practical application in pure electric traction vehicle with heavy-duty and hybrid automotives are also highlighted and hopeful.
