THE WRA GRAYWATER POLICY: PROCESS AND PLAN FORWARD

A white paper was commissioned by WateReuse Association (WRA), sponsored jointly by Water Environment Federation (WEF), and American Water Works Association (AWWA), to expand the association's knowledge base on current graywater practices and extent of use. The white paper included four options for the WRA board to consider, providing association members and water reuse professionals with a consistent approach for the use of graywater. The WRA board created an Ad Hoc Committee with the charge to evaluate the basis of adopting each of the four options and their advantages and disadvantages to the association. The committee was charged with recommending the options for board approval and establishing a plan to move forward with implementation of the chosen plan.
