Rapid Guideline for Seismic Damage Assessment of Power Sector Facilities

In this paper, a rapid guideline for structural damage assessment of CFE's facilities due earthquake is presented. The guideline contains several checklists for different structures in order to survey all information about the structural damage based on observation data. This data and the event information are used to evaluate a structural damage level in lifelines (none damage, moderate damage and heavy damage). In order to evaluate these levels, two techniques are used: damage matrix and expected damage level. On the other hand, an indicators of the ground movement due earthquake is presented. The indicators are used to know probable's values of acceleration, velocity and displacement in a specific area, which can be associate with a probable damage value.
