摘要

Pompilidotoxins (PMTXs), the small peptides consisting of 13 amino acids isolated from solitary wasp venoms, have been known to slow Na channel inactivation. By using a series of six PMTX analogs, we conducted a thorough study of the effects of PMTXs on Na current inactivation in seven mammalian voltage-gated sodium channel isoforms (NGSCs) and one insect VGSC (DmNa_v1), and found that three distinct types of PMTX-effects could be distinguished.
