New Rural Construction and Rural Development: Case Study of Villages in Tangshan and Qinhuangdao

New rural development and rural development is a hot area of academic discussion. The paper samples 10 villages in Tangshan and Qinhuangdao, analyzes main features of rural development and existing problems from five aspects of agricultural economy, social structure, social services and living environment, grass-roots organizations and individual elite, rural-urban linkages. Finally, with China's new rural construction, the paper discusses the future of China's rural development from the four aspects of national policies and endogenous rural development, the diversification of rural economy based on the cooperation of urban and rural areas, the transformation of "hollow villages" and restoration of habitat environment, and the village planning and implementation.
