The BiPV Tools project is addressed specifically for architects and its aim is to provide information and tools that will allow a correct and appropriate integration of photovoltaic in the building design concept. Its purpose is to define and analyze a series of needs requested especially by architects (and architecture students) who don't have a strong technical knowledge of PV but still would like to be able to integrated photovoltaic's systems into the architectural design. The backbone tool will be the website www.bipv.ch. It was developed in a previous SUPSI project with the intent of making it an informative web specifically for architects. With this project it will be possible to move up to a following phase of development where the contents of the website will be examined, updated and optimized with a list of examples of BiPV installations and with a CAD library that will include an implemented 3D parametric CAD object.
