Identification of differentially expressed host proteins in immature and mature Mycobacterium tuberculosis mouse phagosomes using O18 labeling approach.

We optimized conditions for host protein extraction from phagasomes containing live (immature) or dead (mature) MTB. Majority of TB proteins were successfully removed using polyclonal anti-TB Ab. 150 proteins has been identified in our preliminary studies including hydrolases, proton pump AT Pase subunits, and proteins of the fusion machinery such as Rab5, Rab7, Rab10 and Rab8.
