Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) liver disease is a frequently fatal condition characterised by accumulation of fat within hepatocytes and inflammation. Diagnosis can currently only be made by histological examination. Local lipid mediators concentrate to toxic levels in hepatocytes, profiling of lipid mediators can identify potential targets for therapy.
