1. The Waters Oasis SPE WAX gave reproducible results and %recoveries of ～80% for analyzing short chain acyl-CoAs in Arabidopsis seeds. 2. The Supelco SPE WAX can be used at the lowest pH thereby minimizing losses due to hydrolysis, however, further work is needed to optimize elution conditions. 3. Once optimal conditions have been established, the %recovery and RSD using the Supelco SPE WAX will be tested with Arabidopsis seeds.
