High Resolution Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry with High Speed Data Acquisition for Sampling Sub-Second Peak Widths Generated by Capillary Electrophoresis

We demonstrate the feasibility of coupling rapid CE separations with high resolution, fast acquisition speed TOF detection. 100 spectra/second acquisition rates allow for adequate sampling of narrow electrophoretic peaks and help resolve coeluting analytes. Despite narrow separation tim e window and short analysis time, the methodology allows for detection of hundreds of small molecule species in biological samples.
