Some of these numerous new MAII/LSI matrix materials, and others to be discovered, will likely open up improved and new applications as is shown here for 2-NPG. Binary matrixes is one option to expand the utility and applicability of MAI methods. Tapping, vibrating, scratching of matrix/analyte sample provides the ability to produce abundant, highly charged ions. The ability to improve heating will further expand on useful matrixes and applications.
