Chaperone-subunit-usher ternary complexes across all PapDPapX samples and usher domains were observed via ESI-MS. This is the first report of a direct binding of the plug domain to a chaperone-subunit complex. Differences were found in stabilities across all ternary complexes, revealing either a singular or combined chaperone-subunit binding interface. Fragmentation products will be surveyed which may reveal these interfaces. The affect of the usher on DSE will also be studied.
