Matrix Effect in MALDI-ToF Mass Spectra of Derivatized Glycerol Ethoxylates

The obtained results show that a matrix should be carefully chosen when derivatization approach was applied to improve oligomer resolution, signal/noice ratio and to increase the structure information content in MALDI-ToF mass spectrometry. Registration of the spectra for completely derivatized products is particularly helpful in the quantitative determination of functional end-groups [3].
