Membrane proteins of the pre-frontal cortex constitute a particular sub-proteome that merits in-depth analysis in schizophrenia, in which synaptic proteins are understood to exert a central role. This investigation aimed to profile for disease associated protein changes using iTRAQ 8plex, in a Triton-X114 membrane enriched fraction from schizophrenia and control subjects.
