Characterization of homemade explosives (HMEs) and degradants of chemical warfare agents (CWAs) by ion chromatography - tandem mass spectrometry (IC-MS/MS)

Ion chromatography with MS/MS is a valuable technique for the analysis of HMEs. Conductivity detection is valuable for the identification of cations and elemental anions. Ion chromatography was also found to be useful in the analysis of some CWA degradants such as phosphonic acids with MRM analysis found to be more sensitive than CD.
