Helical geometry IMS has been evaluated using both drift field and T-Wave techniques. The separating capability was higher for the T-Wave mode than the drift mode of operation for the parameters used in this study. Cross-section calibration curves were found to be charge state dependent. Both guides have been calibrated and used successfully to measure a variety of peptide ion interaction cross-sections.
