摘要

The performance and economics of proton-exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells are highly dependent on the membranes. Blending of sulfonated polymers is one approach to tailor the properties of PEM, which results in mechanically and chemically robust membranes as well as affects the conductivity. The objective of this work was to prepare the sulfonated polymer blends having high proton conductivity in different moisture regimes while maintaining a number of desirable properties including good mechanical properties and swelling characteristics.A new blend system comprising of sulfonated perfluorocyclobutyl block copolymer (S-PFCB) and perflouro sulfonimide (PFSI) polymer was studied for proton exchange membranes (Fig.l and Fig 2).
