摘要

The polarization mode dispersion (PMD) statistics concerning the influence of the temperature dependence in an optical fiber was evaluated. The measured differential group delay (DGD) over a wavelength range was taken either varying the time or the temperature in a controlled environment. The PMD was analyzed as a temperature dependent quantity. The concepts about mean DGD were reviewed.
