We present a study into the rotation and magnetic activity of the young (60-100 Myr),nearby (250pc) open cluster Blanco 1, combining recently published spectroscopic and X-raydatasets. We use new Vsin i and X-ray luminosity measurements, in addition to a recently completedstandardized BVIC CCD survey, to probe how fundamental stellar parameters, such as X-ray emis-sion and rotation rate, change as a function of mass in Blanco 1. Comparing our new analysis withthe existing rotation-activity distributions for other open clusters, we investigate the age-dependenceof angular momentum and magnetic activity among early epoch (< 1 Gyr) solar-type stars, and morespecifically, how Blanco 1 agrees or disagrees with the age-rotation-activity paradigm at 100 Myr.
