USE OF RADIOCHROMIC FILMS FOR 2D DOSE VERIFICATION PRIOR TO RADIOTHERAPY

In radiation therapy, treatment planning systems (TPS) use different algorithms to predict the dose in the tumor and the surrounding normal tissue. New algorithms were recently made available, in particular Monte Carlo particle transport simulations for electron beams. The purpose of our study was to evaluate radiochromic films as 2D dosimeters for dose distribution verification.
