Considerations regarding the human activity impact over the underground water resources and the drinking waters in the western part of Romania

The paper presents the underground water bodies from The Hydrographical Space Banat and follows the implications of human activities over their quality during the last years. Delimitation of underground water bodies was made only were exists significant aquifers for water supply, respectively exploitable flows higher than 10m~3/zi. For the rest of the area even if there are local conditions for under ground water storage, they will not be constitute in water bodies according to the Frame work 60/2000/EC stipulations. Are also presented the area designated for drinking waters population supply estimating their pollution degree according to the actual Regulations.
