The aim of this paper is to verify the presence of alterations in speech, language and auditory process in children with cleft palate. Case-control study with children with CLP post-palatoplasty. A questionnaire with 24 relevant questions was given to 50 parents of children with CLP, and 50 parents of children without CLP, aged 7 to 11 years, both genders. Results showed that groups were statistically different regarding the misarticulations and speech poorer than of the age-mates. Children with CLP show larger damages in speech production.
