Multiple Model Based Launch Point Estimation For Ballistic Targets

摘要

This paper mainly focuses on external ballistics modeling aspects of conventional projectiles like shell and mortars, estimation of trajectory parameters with a segment of trajectory portion and launch point prediction to accurately determine the gun location for projectiles fired in low as well as high angles. The real challenge in this problem lies in estimating the launch points of projectiles with good accuracies with noisy positional measurements being the only inputs available.
