摘要

A complete realization of a highly programmable low-power robust signal processor for a portable ground-based surveillance radar is presented. The stringent system requirements demand a compact radar system which should be able to detect low flying aerial targets against clutter/interference background. All requirements are met in a FPGA-based design of a multi-channel signal processor to cater for low peak power large bandwidth waveforms, separate processing for special targets and an embedded soft-core processor. It includes several techniques for ECCM and novel hardware architectures to implement various radar signal processing algorithms. The signal processor possesses reliable self-test mechanisms - external as well as internal.
