Scattered from the real surface signal usually has random structure due to stochastic orientation and scattering coefficients of the surface's elements. In this paper represented optimal processing algorithm of this stochastic signal. As was shown, one of the main procedure is the reference signal formation, which contains not only point target complex-conjugated signal but also statistical information about whole scene. Radar image formation errors separated into three kinds: dynamic fluctuation and noise errors. Dynamic errors caused by smoothing surface point's RCS by the radar space ambiguity function. One realisation of the stochastic process observed during finite time interval leads to the inconsistent estimation with is called fluctuation error (speckle noise). Noise error caused by additional noise presence in the SAR input. These image formation errors were compared for the proposed algorithm and for matching filtering algorithm. Results show that proposed algorithm gives better image quality and may be recommended for the SAR systems.
