Single-phase asynchronous posystor's motors or condenser motors with posystor's starting are applied, as a rule, for a drive of modern compressors for household refrigerators. They have replaced earlier used motors with heightened resistance of starting winding. Current contact relay, which disconnected a starting winding after motor acceleration, was replaced by posystor. It has allowed to increase the operation reliability of motor not having practically improved the motor starting characteristics. The main defect of motors with posystor's starting as well as motors with heightened resistance of starting winding is strong starting current of motor. Thus, the current density in starting (auxiliary) winding reaches 40-50Amm at starting regime. And there is a possibility of thermal shock and the intensive aging of starting (auxiliary) winding insulation with its premature failure as a consequence. The application of working capacitors practically has not an effect for motor starting characteristics but raises its efficiency on 4-6%.
