We investigated vibration isolation characteristics against horizontal fine vibration in a magnetic levitation type seismic isolation device composed of HTS bulk and permanent magnet. Vibration transmissibility, defined as ratio of vibration amplitude of levitating HTS bulk to that of permanent magnet, was evaluated experimentally and the vibration transmissibility below 1% was achieved in a model system. Vibration-isolating performance can be raised by improving uniformity of magnetized level and direction. The magnetic levitation type seismic isolation device is useful not only as a seismic isolation device but also as a high performance vibration isolation device.
