摘要

The current work studies the effect of simple shear flows (dominant in typical polymer processes) on the dispersion state of CNF composites. Analyses have been performed using a particle simulation method to study the breakup of agglomerates of CNFs. The subsequent development in time of the degree of dispersion and orientation of CNFs and resulting rheological properties, as a function of different levels of shear applied, were also studied.
