摘要

Veterinary species and humans undergo chronic stress resulting in a variety of GI diseases, however our understanding the mechanisms involved has only begun to be elucidated. As we consider the one medicine theme, it appears necessary that we explorestress mechanisms in large animal species in order to fully understand the complexities of these disorders. This translational approach will hopefully lead to novel therapeutic approaches to lessen the impact of stress on intestinal disease.
