DYNAMICS OF THE LEUKOCYTE COUNTS IN PIGS VACCINATED AGAINST THE CLASSICAL SWINE FEVER AND CHALLENGED WITH THE PIG RESPIRATORY AND REPRODUCTIVE SYNDROME

摘要

The association of bacteria, mycoplasma and viruses in respiratory problems of pigs, is collectively known as the Porcine Respiratory Disease Complex (PRDC) (2). The association of two Viruses, such as the classical swine fever virus (CSF) and the pigrespiratory and reproductive syndrome (PRRS), which individually have a strong effect on pig production, are suspected to have a potentiation effect and thus affect the economy of pig producers on the world, including Mexico, where both diseases coexist (3). This work was planned to evaluate the effect of CSF vaccination when a natural outbreak of PRRS occurs, by means of the white cell blood count in all of the experimental groups.
